Neo Terra at the JCM Forum: Shaping the Future of Indonesia’s Carbon Market
Jakarta, 21 August 2025 – Neo Terra proudly participated in the Forum on Promoting Business Engagement and Matching through the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) to Expand Indonesia’s Carbon Market, held in Jakarta. The event was organized under the cooperation of the Article 6 Implementation Partnership (A6IP), IGES, MOEJ, KLH, CMEA, and OECC, bringing together government officials, private sector leaders, and international partners from both Japan and Indonesia.
The forum convened around 380 participants (230 in person and 150 online), reaffirming the growing momentum for cross-border collaboration in addressing climate change. Key sessions covered Indonesia’s JCM progress, Japan’s revised rules and guidelines for carbon credits, and technical matters such as CCS/CCUS, bio-based solutions, and the integration (“nesting”) of land-use projects into broader climate systems.
For Neo Terra, joining this prestigious forum and engaging in business matching sessions marked an important step in strengthening our contribution to Indonesia’s evolving carbon market. These interactions opened pathways for partnerships in areas such as nature-based solutions, carbon sequestration, and sustainable infrastructure—core to our mission of building a greener, regenerative future.
We were also proud to represent our vision through our fire tower—a landmark project designed in collaboration with Kengo Kuma, world-renowned Japanese architect and emeritus professor at the University of Tokyo. The Tower embodies our commitment to bridging sustainability, technological innovation, and cultural identity, symbolizing resilience and our drive for systemic climate solutions.
With deep gratitude for the opportunity, Neo Terra affirms its commitment to advancing Indonesia’s carbon market, strengthening international partnerships, and pioneering regenerative projects that contribute meaningfully to local communities and the planet.
